Honors and Societies 

2010 – 2011 President’s List for Academic Achievement

 

The President’s list includes students who:
(1) were enrolled in at least nine credit hours of courses
(2) earned a grade point average of 4.0.

2007 – 2010 Dean’s List for Academic Achievement

The Dean's list includes the names of students who:
(1) were enrolled in at least nine credit hours of courses awarding letter grades
(2) earned a grade point average of at least 3.5-3.9

Chemical Societies

2007 – 2012 SAACS

ACS is a congressionally chartered independent membership organization which represents professionals at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry and sciences that involve chemistry.

 

2007 – 2009 NOBCChE

The KSU Student Affiliate of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) was part of a national structure that includes both professional, associate, and student members.  The focus is on community service in terms of promoting science particularly chemistry and chemical engineering in the community.

Honorary Chemical Society

 

The aims and purposes of the Society were from its inception the promotion of high scholarship and original investigation in all branches of pure and applied chemistry. Our chapter is responsible for many service-oriented activities in the Chemistry Department and in the community.  This includes:

  • Inducting new members
  • General Chemistry Game Night
  • Bringing science to the community
  • Social Activities
